The Satshot Claim Center provides crop insurance companies and their adjusters a fast, easy and reliable method to map and manage crop loss claims. The Claim Center can provide effective field mapping and tracking to the crop insurance industry to aid in efficient claim processing.
Crop Loss Claims
Crop adjusters can log and map crop loss claims in the Claim Center. Choosing satellite imagery from appropriate dates they can analyze the claim fields using the NIR band or the NDVI to help determine crop loss. The analysis can be saved and a paper report can be generated that shows the field in its geographic setting with the saved analysis that indicates both percentages and acreages for each loss zone.
Mapping
After producers fields are mapped, paper mapping booklets can be generated. The reports arrange the producers operation by county, farm and tract. Each field is colored by crop type and shown in its geographic setting with a background of high resolution color imagery. If historical yield information is available, that too will be listed.
